Spain - La Liga VAVEL
Barcelona are hosting Osasuna at the Estadi de Montjuic for their first La Liga game after the March international break.
By Sara Grannes

Barcelona are looking to avenge their loss to Osasuna earlier in the season in the rescheduled game. The game was initially meant to be played on the 8th of March, but due to the death of Barcelona's head doctor Carles Minarro mere hours before the game, it was suspended.
After a bad end to 2024, the Blaugrana are unbeaten in 2025 with hopes to continue that streak. Their latest league game was a brilliant comeback against Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano, scoring four goals in 20 minutes to win 4-2. The never-give-up mentality shown by Hansi Flick’s Barcelona will be needed against a win-hungry Osasuna.
Osasuna are without a win in their last six games and are again looking to break Barcelona’s unbeaten streak in the league like they did in September. Los Rojillos have not gone this long without a win throughout the 2024/25 season. They have been competitive in most of their games this season, only losing by more than two goals against Girona and Real Madrid away.
The previous fixtures between the two teams heavily favour Barcelona, but the tactical masterclass from Moreno and Osasuna in September gives them the confidence to beat the current league leaders.
Team News
Barcelona
The Blaugrana will have to manage without star winger Raphinha and Ronald Araujo. Flick confirmed in his pre-match press conference that the two South Americans will not be ready to play after travelling back from Argentina and Bolivia, respectively.
Marc Casado will mostly likely be out for the rest of the season after sustaining a knee injury against Atletico Madrid.
Spanish international Pau Cubarsi will be unavailable for the game after picking up an ankle injury in the game against the Netherlands.

Osasuna
Bryan Zaragoza, who scored in the reverse fixture, left the Spanish national team camp early due to an injury, making his participation in the game doubtful. With Flavien Bayomo also being doubtful, because of the quick turn around from playing for Cameroon.

Likely Line ups
Barcelona

Osasuna

Key Players
Barcelona - Pedri Gonzalez
The 22-year-old has played the third-highest number of minutes of the players available for the game against Osasuna. Pedri has grown into the double-pivot role and has flourished in Flick’s system. Under Flick, the midfielder has become the conductor of the Barcelona attack, often overshadowed by Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, the more typical goal scorers. Only the two players have more shot-creating actions than Pedri in La Liga among the Barcelona squad.
While being vital in the offensive aspects of the game, he will also help defensively, ranking third for tackles won in the squad. Pedri’s press resistance might be his biggest strength, no matter where on the pitch, he seems unaffected by the opposition’s press. If Pedri has a good game, the chance of the Blaugrana are significantly higher.

Osasuna - Ante Budmir
The 33-year-old Croatian striker is in the best goal scoring form of his career with 18 goals for Osasuna this season, 15 of them in La Liga. In the previous game against Barcelona, Budimr scored a brace, scoring the goal seen as the winner. The clinicalness of the striker is one of his biggest strengths, on average scoring a goal for every other shot he has on target. He is also a treat in the air, being in the 92 percentile for aerial duels won. If Osasuna is gonna have any chance to get good result against theBlaugrana, they are dependent on Budmir having a good game.
